Located 33 miles north of San Ysidro, Fenton Lake State Park covers nearly 40 acres of waterfront and is surrounded by lush forests of ponderosa pine trees and Douglas firs. The region also serves as an important resting point for several species of migratory birds. Fenton Lake is notable in movie history as a primary location for the filming of the 1976 cult classic, "The Man Who Fell to Earth."
