Clayton Lake is home to more than 500 preserved dinosaur footprints. By walking down an established path you can view the prints and learn about the dinosaurs that made them, thanks to identification markers placed throughout the trail.

Camping is one of the favorite pastimes at Clayton Lake State Park. Restrooms and showers are provided with more than two dozen campsites available. There are also several picnicking areas available for day-use at the park. For any questions regarding the park and its surrounding wildlife, you can stop in at the visitor's center for your answer.
